The Challenge

 

In 2018 Australia celebrated the 100th birthday of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie. This was Walnut Melbourne’s first licensed collaboration, in which we released a capsule collection of baby wear and children’s shoes. The main objective was to showcase May Gibbs’ unique and nostalgic Australiana in a refreshing and modern manner.

My Approach

May Gibbs and Walnut Melbourne have collaborated together to release four successful collections, with plans to continue the collaboration for many more seasons. I designed all yardage prints for the collaboration, and liaised with the licensing company to gain commercial approvals.​
