The Challenge

 

In 2018 Australia celebrated the 100th birthday of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie. This was Walnut Melbourne’s first licensed collaboration, in which we released a capsule collection of baby wear and children’s shoes. The main objective was to showcase May Gibbs’ unique and nostalgic Australiana in a refreshing and modern manner.

My Approach

This is the look book which I designed to introduce and promote the collection to Walnut Melbourne's wholesale customers. We wanted the collection to look bright, fun with strong links to May Gibbs and Australiana.

 

For the photoshoot I used bright backgrounds and photographs with allot of movement. To combine both worlds I positioned May Gibb's original illustrations so that the subject was interacting with them.
